One week down, Five more to go!

Hello friends,

Tim is glad to have made it through his first week of radiation and chemo without any serious problems or complications.  However, Tim has been experiencing additional discomforts as a result of radiation and we hope that they will not worsen as the treatment continues.

Below is an image that shows the area of treatment from four different angles.  The red and innermost area is the area receiving the most radiation.  The blue and outermost area is the area that receives the least radiation.

This nice little prayer intention was posted at St. John Fisher School's bulletin board.  It is little things like these that make us smile and give us comfort and strength to keep moving forward in this difficult time!

We are grateful for your constant prayers for Tim's healing!

Tim's Treatment for the next 6 weeks

Friday was a long and tiring day for us, but at the end we came home with a finalized treatment plan!

Tim will have radiation at UCLA, Monday through Friday, for six weeks beginning April 4 and ending May 13. Tim will also have weekly chemotherapy on Tuesdays.  His first chemo began last Tuesday and will conclude the same week as his radiation.

We are very hopeful that this treatment plan will be very effective in destroying this cancer.  We will keep you posted on the progress.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support! We could not do this withoug you! God Bless!

A  NICE LITTLE STORY:

Tim had been feeling pretty blue due to the severe pain that he constantly experiences.  Plus, Tuesday's chemo treatment had Tim feeling pretty lousy.

Then, Katie came home very excited on Friday.  She handed Tim a package from her and her 5th grade classmates.  The package contained a personalized letter for Tim from each child.  They were all so awesome and it helped Tim's spirits immensely.  It was such a nice gesture.  Thank you St. James School, Mrs. Johnson and 5th Graders!  We are so blessed to be part of such wonderful school!
